Kitkat on Note 3.

Hello! Im from the Philippines and im curious as how to upgrade my Note 3 to Android Kitkat. Is it available here in our country already? Thanks!

Don't think it's out in your country, yet. When it's out you should be getting an OTA update notification so you can install it

Oh.. thats sad. OTA you mean over tha air? Like just wifi? Or do i need to update it through kies?

Yes, OTA means over-the-air
So you don't need Kies, but that would be another way to get it. Just WiFi or a data connection (This is probably going to be a big update so I wouldn't recommend the latter)

I would recommend you to wait. Many apps will be broken once you upgrade to kitkat, and you won't gain anything interesting.

NkaKitkat na ako hahaha. Ako nlng mismo nag install kasi ang tagal2 pa dumating. January pa ako naghihintay until now wala pa rin. Haha

I got the OTA few weeks ago. And I dont like it. May issue ako sa delay pag nag wawake up ka from sleep. 4.3 was much better for me

Yup im serious, mga 450mb update yun. And yes asa ph ako ngayon, on globe. Pero for me as of now mas snappy parin ang 4.3 ko, im annoyed sa delay niya when waking up. Random siya nangyayare eh.

Mayroon akong KitKat sa aking Nexus 7. Gusto ko magkano ang gusto 4.3. Ito ang aking unang aparato Nexus at ang nakuha ko ito dahil sa mabilis na mga update. Ano Hindi ko mapagtanto ay kang maging tester para sa tumagal-update bago ito naaprubahan para sa pangkalahatang paggamit. Pupunta ako upang ilagay sa 4.3 sa aking N3

I would recommend you to wait. Many apps will be broken once you upgrade to kitkat, and you won't gain anything interesting.

Like which apps? Are you running 4.4 on your Note 3? If yes, which apps were broken?

Chrome and Firefox browsers are crashing and locking up on me since I got KitKat.

Also, my Note 3 will randomly restart itself at least once a day.

None of this happened before I updated to KitKat.

Hmm, me thinks I'll forego the update in the meantime until these kinks mentioned are ironed out...soon I hope.

Hey guys...i am experiencing self reboot problem in my note 3 after kitkat update. I have cleared the cache partition and then rebooted my phone. 2 days it wrked fyn nd den again it restarted when using samsung video player. And a new problem arised today......am unable to view the message in the s view window. It juz shows new message icon but i cudnt slide to left 2 c d message details. Gonna hate samsung for releasing unstable update if it continues like dz. I never experienced any problem like dz n android 4.3.....missin 4.3 in note 3

Mainly permission changes. For example, I used to have an app called ACR that record calls but now api file won't be available for 3rd party apps. Samething goes for SD permission, 3rd party apps can't backup to SD card unless you root and change the platform.xml file to allow this.

games such as candy crush and any app that haven't been updated for long time to fit kitkat.
