KitKat Sync????? WTF!

Why do I need to have Sync ON in order for me to update my e-mail

Getting the following message: (Email Sync turned off) wont refresh anymore wtf

I use to simply just click on the refresh button doing a manual push before this update

I don't need Sync on all the time anyone know of a fix or workaround?

Are you talking about sync in the Accounts section of settings under Google or in Gmail settings under Data usage?

had this problem too ,I Just Ignored it and it resolved itself in 1-2 days

No I'm talking about my the Sync Icon has to be ON from the Drop Down in order for me to do a Manual Push update on my email

Went away for me also after one day. I have sync off and manually sync with no problem.
