KitKat update with Android Revolution on HTC One

I'm running Jellybean with Android Revolution rom if I install KitKat will it affect the rom?

You would have to flash a new ROM based off the KitKat update.

Otherwise you need to RUU back to an earlier version of Android, lock your bootloader, push the stock recovery back to the device and then you can take the OTA update.
