I don't know about that. I'm just hoping that it comes down to my phone tomorrow so that I can play around with it while I'm watching the NASCAR Racing practices at the road courses on tv. (Cup Series is at Sonoma and Nationwide Series is at Road America.)

What exactly is the issue?

Take a look in the Sprint S3, AT&T S3, Virgin, Bell, etc. basically everyone's carrier who has already released KitKat for the S3. They all had issues with WiFi either not working at all, or being ghosted out (unselectable) until a Factory Reset. That leads me to believe that something changed position in Settings that caused the database that holds those settings to become confused/corrupt/out of sync. The point being, make a backup, now, because tomorrow when you apply the update and your WiFi doesn't work, and you use up your month's worth of data plan just reinstalling all your apps, you'll kick yourself for not doing so. Or ignore the advice and don't complain...

That's why I'm so happy that it looks like this is going to drop while I am on vacation from work this week. It gives me plenty of time to get everything set just the way I want it before I have to back to work on Monday.

I have not. Tried OTA and Kies. I'm figuring it will start this afternoon, much like 4.3 did. That started around 2:30 Eastern, if I recall correctly.

Glad it's not just me. I've been checking my phone constantly and haven't seen the update come through yet. I'll stop driving myself nuts now.

I do find it interesting that Verizon posted a day ahead of time that KitKat was coming. Usually, they just drop it on your head and say "go".

I think that will be a separate rollout, if at all (does it have 1GB or 2GB of RAM?)
