L inching closer.

Funny I handed down my Nexus 4 to my daughter and she got L last week...

There are a few cool things about it... I'm curious to see what the LG version will look like.

Seeing the quick upgrade on her phone is the only time I blinked about upgrading to the G3 ... The feeling passed though after I handled the old phone again to help her with the download and install. The phones sure have come a long way in 2 years.

I just hope it's not as buggy as what I'm reading online. Looking forward to it for sure :)

I have also a Nexus 5. Take a look at what owners are posting about L in that forum. Some of it is good, but there are a lot of problems so far. Are you SURE you want your beautiful G3s Lollipopped yet?

Just flashed a lollipop rom today. Can't wait for an official LG rom

Which G3 do you have? I have the Verizon version and from I have read online it can't be flashed. I was thinking of doing this if the official version does not roll out soonish for the Verizon G3.

Search for {Team Vanir} Commotio Lollipop Build. It's available and working for the VS985.

Yeah...I'm fine waiting a bit.
On my last phone (a Galaxy S3), the KitKat update borked my GPS (caused it to cut out frequently) and affected battery life noticeably. I'm not in a big rush.

im also happy to wait for Lollipop OTA as i already received it on my N5. Hope it doesn't mess with the look of the settings menu like it did on my N5.

I'm using L on a Nexus 10 tablet. Increase battery performance is a big plus!

I hope this happens. I finally received the L update on my Nexus 4 last Tuesday. I was really happy with it most in relation to Smart Lock. On Thursday Rogers dropped the price of the G3 from $99 to $0 so I jumped onto the G3. It was a hard decision to make given how happy I was that I received L and that my Nexus 4 generally worked fine. I'm thrilled with the battery life and the screen size on the G3 but I wish I could get back some of those features I spent 2 days configuring before I upgraded. In the meantime I've got my N4 on a shelf in case my G3 or my daughter's S4 ever have issues.

I'll take a pop at L. I'll take a pop at just about anything in an attempt to resolve the lagfest that is the G3 I traded my N5 in for!!!

I've got L on my AT&T G3 - Cyanogenmod 12. Sure, there are some bugs, but no deal-breakers for me. And there are updates daily (actually nightly ) It's a solid daily driver, IMO.

My G3 was a dog w/the stock ROM. Stuttered & lagged like a mofo, even after de-bloating. That's pretty much history, now. It's buttery smooth.

I also came from an N5, which was lag free for me. So I feel your pain.

I see were the comments on lag are coming from because i had lag when i first got the phone but a few months into having the g3 and several updates later i havent got the lag anymore, and when i did it was just in the u.i. im running on 4.4.2 v10l in the uk using the phone with Art and mine and it works flawlessly, im unlocked and carrier free aswell if that makes a difference

I have the same setup, all carrier free and running Art, but certainly have lag compared to my N5. Lag between menus is practically non existent using nova, but is very visible when loading apps like Facebook, Amazon, eBay and even Google+ pictures. It can easily be 5-6 seconds from screen press to app load, and that's insane. It's a big price to pay in terms of user experience for the sake of a better camera and battery than I had on the N5. I knew it was a risk moving from the super quick N5 but one I had to take given the shocking camera and even more shocking battery (that said the G3 camera isn't wowing me as much as I expected). I'm waiting it out for Lollipop and we'll see. May end up ditching for something in the middle like a Moto X.

Im baffled then. Mybe the lollipop update will give u better luck. Once ive got the lollipop update im guna factory reset for sure since its a major update. I came from the n5 and moto g and can relate to your lag but like i said since the v10l update ive never really had lag since. Have you tryed a factory reset to see if that will help, sounds abit pointless but it dose help in some circumstances
