Lack of updates

Love this watch but Samsung have been pretty pathetic when it comes to updating the watch. Many apps also could do with updates. I came from a pebble watch and updates were regular and improved the watch massively over time. Samsung really need to sort this out

An update was pushed out yesterday to fix some issues with S-voice. What specifically do you want to see changed?

I've thought quite the opposite. I received an update the day I bought it a couple months ago and 2 since then.

I've only had one major update since release. S Health could be improved, S Voice needs a major overhaul, the music app needs updating amongst others things. Everything works OK but it could be better. The watch has been out for coming up to a year and I would have expected more improvements. And don't get me wrong I love the watch I just would like Samsung to make it even better

Pathetic is not even the word! As great of a job that Samsung did designing the watch and software, they sure haven't done anything for the S3 to keep the consumers entertained.

I disagree. With every update comes the possibility of breaking something that works just fine. My watch works perfectly. I'd hate to see an update, just for the sake of updating, only to ruin a perfectly running watch.

This last S VOICE update seems terrible as far as understanding what I'm saying worked so much better before. And I speak clear English!

I've read that they are working on a new 3.0 version of tizen and have been hoping to get it on the S3. Sounds like the Gear Fit Pro 2 will be the first to ship with it installed. Apparently 3.0 will be the standard across all of their devices which should make it easier to to patch/update and give developers some flexibility in porting apps from Android or iOS.

I'm on software version BQG4 and it picks up my voice really fast and well since the last update. There could be an update coming now that Bixby has been released worldwide, but that's wishful thinking.

I can't find the link but I thought it was confirmed that Bixby was coming to the S3. Maybe it's part of the tizen 3.0 update.

I got another update on my gear S3 Classic this morning, something to do with vibrations and third-party updates. I'm not sure exactly what it does but that's at least two in a couple weeks time.
