I am looking for a little help/advice. I recently switched from apple back in July and went with an S4, I love my phone, but when they announced the Note 3 I had to have it. I have had it for about a week now, and though I love it, I feel like it is huge, especailly when I have it in its case. It also seems much heavier then my s4 and my wrists seem to be bothering me since I have gotten it. I am was really hoping that otterbox would come out with a case, so I can make my final decision about the case, but that doesnt seem to be in the future any time soon. So my question is what cases do you have on your phones? Have you gotten used to the size and the weight?

Thanks in Advance!

I adjusted to the size fast. If you need help with your wrist, they're always the one handed options. To me, the phone weighs less then my S3. I had a purple body glove tpu/rubber case. I liked it, but wanted to show off my beautiful phone. I have a clear tpu case on it now. As long as I'm carful, which I am with my phones, I should be okay. Btw: the commuter otterbox, which I prefer over the defender, comes out Nov 8th. 😊📱💙

Come tomorrow I'll have had mine for a week.

I purchased this Kroo Fab SN2 Womens Designer Smartphone Wrist-Let Case Cover Pouch Bag Guard PC1 from ebay.

I also bought this case: TUDIA Ultra Slim Melody Series TPU Protective Case for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 III (Pink)

The phone fits into the pouch with the case on -- no problem. The case itself is quite snug and all the cut-outs for ports/speakers are good. The buttons on the side for the volume & power are very nice as well. The case is a harder plastic than those "gel plastic" cases out there -- but not like those very hard plastic shell cases.

I've gotten used to the size -- I do have the phone dialer screen shrunken down to the right side for easier one-handed answering/operation.

The only other thing that I still haven't gotten totally used to yet, is the volume. I keep turning it down because I'm not reaching up far enough. I'm sure it'll just be a little while longer and I won't be doing that any more.

Other than that -- I love it. :D

I am sorry to hear you are having issues with your wrists. I find the note 3 to be very light, especially compared to the note 2...which I had as well. I'm rocking mine without a case, so it's very lightweight. If you have a heavier case it will add weight to the phone. Maybe try a slim case that adds protection without the added girth....Amazon has plenty of note 3 cases available.

Also, I wonder if it's not the weight of the device, but that you have to hold it differently. With the phone being a bigger size, it does require learning a new way to hold it. I use it one handed and two handed, but I had the note 2 prior to this one as well.

It probably is a combination of both. I noticed after having my wrists bother me that I put my pinky finger down at the bottom of the phone. I LOVE the size without a case! But I feel like I may scratch the carmera and I am very clumpsy and have dropped my previous phones numberous times!

Sheda, I couldn't wait for the first Note. As soon as I heard the first rumor, I couldn't wait for a large screen and I didn't care what else it did as long as I could make a call and get the net on it. I went from something that had a slide out keyboard and I remember having to hold it different and it took a bit to get used to but I loved the darn thing so much I wouldn't have traded it for ANYTHING ELSE. As soon as I tried S-notes I was thrilled to no longer having a jumble of stickies and printouts and odd papers in my purse. I have my new Note 3 in a cheap flip over with an S-window case just until somebody comes out with the type of case that lets it rotate and stand either in portrait or landscape mode. I find the Note 3 very comfortable and I'm only 5"4". It is a 2 handed device for me unless I can sit it down on something safe. I think it's a great phone for women. but make sure your comfortable with it and that you really like the features.

I myself jumped ship from an iPhone 5 to this phone. @ first I thought the size would bother me because never had a phone larger than a Rezound. But w/in a couple of days I got used to it and the size doesn't even bother me. I went ahead and bought the Samsung flip view case. Even w/ this case it still fits in my jeans-it partially sticks out but not to the point where it bothers me. And it's still thin and light to where I sometimes forget I have it in my purse-I carry a small purse too. I don't think I want to get an Otterbox because it will add bulk for me but I may change my mind. I change cases almost every month lol.

If your wrist bothers you when you hold the phone to talk you can always pair it with a Bluetooth headset. My note 2 is paired with a plantronics m50, they work great together.

This is my first note phone and I honestly thought it would be awkward because I am size challenged lol. 5'5 but I love it. I don't think I could ever go smaller again. I am using the s view cover and I hold it quite easily with my pen.

I am also someone that is struggling with the size and makes my wrist hurt, so I can't play with it as much as I would like. I am using the cruzerlite case. Which is a tpu type case. I think anything else would make this phone difficult to handle. I have had it for 3 weeks now. I am hoping as time goes on I will get used to it as I love this phone. I also use sony bluetooth sbh52. Which means helps with the handling.

I haven't noticed any wrist issues with using my note 3. I am coming from an S2 but with my thick casemate case on it, it wasn't a lot smaller than the note 3. I don't have a case on mine right now since Winnipeg hasn't received any yet, but I'm thinking of buying one or 2 of the following cases off of ebay. The 1st link is to a bling case, but I haven't decided which one I want yet. The other 2 come in a few different colors.
