Lag and display rendering

Anyone run into an issue where when returning to the homescreen from the app listing where the phone lags a bit and only renders part of the homescren and the rest a second or so later? Im also seeing some hesitation as I swipe between app screens and widget screens. Wondering if I should exchange for another.

Try changing from a live wallpaper to a static one. Seems google hasnt figured out how to make live wallpapers run smooth yet.

Thanks for responding blayze but that was the first thing i tried and it still lags. Im going to see if i can get to the verizon store and check out their display model. Its a little annoying given this is a flagship phone.

This is the first ICS software that made it through to consumers. Not an excuse but a fact. I have noticed that sometimes pressing another soft button after using the home key will force the UI back to home a tad faster. This lag issue is being addressed by Google and a number of ROM devs. At least people are working to fix it Try getting a quick update from moto. Wait they'll release another phone before that.
