Lag free device

Bought my note 8 on launch day and so far it's been a totally lag free device. It's super fast and very smooth.
Is everyone else experiencing this?

I've had a few small lags or slow downs. But nothing too bad. Hopefully it'll stay that way.

Yes - absolutely.

As mentioned in other current posts, the association of the Note 8 and concerns with what some people think is "classic Samsung lag" is really nonsensical. So you'll be fine now, and in the future with the N8.

As with every other device you own, just know how to operate and maintain it properly. No worries!

I don't expect the N8 to be any different from any other Samsung flagship in the past year or two - that's what I base my projection on

Without question there are those that consider every Samsung phone to be a "lag-fest", can't do anything for those people - they are happily and possibly eternally rooted in that belief. In the last few years I've owned an N5, N7, Pixel, and now N8, and all of them are the same in my experience regarding this topic. Can a transient delay occur in performance and processing? Sure - with all of them, equally.

I had a Pixel 2 XL on pre-order prior to buying my N8. I'd also submit that if anyone suggests that all new Pixels are also lag-fests, they will get an equally doubtful response from me, and many others.

I really don't think that any current flagships are inherent lag-fests, or are destined to become that.
