Lag while Swiping apps to close them

I started noticing that this week. From the recent app window, when I Swipe an app left or right to close it, the app hangs/freezes at the edge of the screen before it completely goes away. It's so strange and annoying.

I cleared both app and device cache and still same lag. I'm running everything stock and I'm on 5.1.1

Anyone else experiencing the same lag swiping away open recent apps?

Unfortunately, the lag remained. Nice tip though.

Tried cleaning the cache once in a while? I do it when it reaches 1 gb (like once a week or so).

Yes, as my original post indicates. I cleared both app and phone cache. My brother having the same lag as well, so I know I'm not alone

Yup, especially if I'm only swiping one or two cards. After the first few, the lag disappears and additional cards zoom off as expected.

Mine's also stock 5.1.1 (on/from T-Mobile). And I don't recall seeing this happen on 5.0.1, but I was only on 5.0.1 for maybe a week.

Yup, exactly what is happening on my end. I checked with couple other people here at work and they both have the lag as well. 5.1.1 and 5.1

I notice a faction of a second delay on the most recent apps, but not much earlier apps on the list. Could it be just the apps currently being held in ram that pause?

That has happened to me on every rom and every fresh install of stock android. I believe it's normal and no big deal. Now that I have a "clear all recents" button on my rom, it's not an issue as everything disappears quickly. I wouldn't worried about it if that's the only "lag" you have.

I've noticed that. It doesn't bother me though. Its a split second. My computer lags more than that. And I should add it only happens occasionally.
