Laggy Tab A 8.0

Anyone have an issue with their Galaxy Tab A being laggy? I had a Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 for a few years until it just kept rebooting over and over. So, I got a Tab A 8.0 for Christmas but have noticed that it is laggy compared to the Tab 3 I had. I got my son a Tab A last year and I haven't noticed his being slow.

I have a tab a 8.0 and it is laggy but works enough, not so laggy that I can't do anything.

I noticed mine seems to lag a bit more when you plug in the charge cable.
