Landscape issues

Is anyone having issues with landscape mode?

I've got a couple:

1) When using apps like Gmail or broswer; it will go into landscape mode quickly, but will not return to portrait.

2) Screens that normally won't go to landscape will be in landscape if coming from another screen that was landscape.


I'm new to Android from BB Storm and don't if this is works as designed or a bug. To me it's annoying that I have to go back to the home screen to reset out of landscape.

Mine was doing this today. Would go into landscape for texting and when I went back to portrait it would stay stuck in landscape. I recalibrated the G-sensor and all is good now.

What should the behavior be? My BB storm would switch between portrait and landscape whenever I reoriented.

I did the G sensor calibration and now it won't go into landscape at all.

I am having the same issue. The accelerometer is very flaky. Hopefully its a software issue and can be fixed.

Ok. Just recalibrated and it seems to be working better now.

Hopefully the recalibration does the trick for us. So far so good. Im hopeful any bug fixes will be taken care of swiftly seeing as how many people now have this phone. Cant wait to see how many were sold this weekend.

Still confused on how landscape/portrait should work. If I'm in an app that supports landscape; should I be able to switch back and forth from landscape to portrait?

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but I noticed another issue wit landscape mode in the internet app.

Only goes into landscape mode if the volume buttons r on top n menu button is on the right. It won't switch over if I have the buttons on the bottom. Have u guys noticed this?

Its really annoying when u have headphones plugged in since it jams into ur left palm.
