Landscape keyboard?

Hey folks,

does the Incredible not automatically rotate to a landscape keyboard if you turn it on its side? I can't seem to figure out how to get it to do that..? The "tips, hints, and shortcuts" book that it came with suggests that there is a QWERTY, Compact QWERTY, and Phone Keypad.

You need to check the "orientation" setting under menu->settings->sound and display in order for the landscape keyboard to appear when you rotate your DI 90 degrees.

To select the type of keyboard, you can go to menu->settings->language and keyboard->touch input->keyboard types.

I also just discovered something very interesting...

the phone will only go into landscape display (for keyboard, webpages, emails, ANYTHING) if you turn the phone from vertical to horizontal in a counter-clockwise motion (meaning the red, top speaker is facing left). If you turn it where the top red speaker is facing right, nothing happens. Slightly annoying because turning things right is my natural habit, but I guess I can break that.

Yep I found that out after 2 hours of playing with the phone the first day. I couldn't understand why the landscape keyboard wouldn't come up. Then I just happened to turn it the other way and there it was! I don't understand why it doesn't appear when turned in both directions either...

Does anyone know if there's a setting I'm missing somewhere that can set which way you turn the phone? Looks like 90 degrees counter clockwise is the only way to get landscape.
