So I recently bought the s3. Love it. My only concern is that when I added korean into my keyboard input settings.. I can read and see all korean characters if I'M the one who typed it. When anyone else sends me korean characters they appear as asteriks. Is there any way to change this? Thanks!

I can barely speak my English so I am speaking only android.

It would seem unless you had told Android to make the phone Korean you would have to translate each message. I think talkback can read the message to you. Or google translate services. I wonder if you had google now if it would properly display the message if it was asked.

That's all I got

Peggy,
What Messaging app are you using? If your phone is configured for English, and you're using the stock Messaging app, then I'd expect any TMs that you receive to be in English, regardless of the fact that you've added an additional language to the keyboard.
If your phone was configured for Korean then I'd expect the stock Messaging app to send/receive TMs in Korean.

I would think that there are 3rd party Messaging apps that will support sending/receiving in additional languages (besides the language that the phone is configured for) but since I can barely speak English I can't make any recommendations based on experience. A quick search of the Google Play Store shows:
Viber: https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...apps/details?id=com.viber.voip&token=NmPN8VSh
GO SMS Pro Korean: https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...pps/details?id=com.jb.gosms.ko&token=M2IckS0Y (this allows you to turn the basic GO SMS PRO Messaging app into a Korean version).
