I am aware that Android is based off the Linux kernel. On my Linux PC, I'm able to set my system language as English - UK, but change the system currency to the American Dollar ($) because I don't make transactions in the British Pound. 
I'm trying to figure out out to do the same thing on Android Pie for the Essential PH-1. I'm getting tired of changing the system language to English - US just to have the system currency set as the American Dollar. It's ridiculous.
I'm only having to do this when making transactions through my credit union's app, which was updated to "prevent" foreign currencies from taking place, to which they haven't yet to explain further.
