Latest AT&T OTA Errors

I recently updated my GS3 with AT&T's latest OTA update and since then I have found my SD card no longer functions as it should and that my phone is a bit laggy at times and or completely unresponsive altogether. So a few factory resets later and a not so thrilling conversation with Samsung's tech support I was sent a new phone and all should have been right with the world. Unfortunately this isn't the case. Reusing the SD card has lead to the random mounting and un-mounting of my card. Replacing this card with a 8 gb card I previously used in my HTC Evo has resolved (seemingly) my mounting/un-mounting issue. Now I can't seem to get my camera to direct photo's to my external card. I left Android when my Evo took a $@#! and it wasn't until my Iphone 4s allure wore off / Samsungs GS3 presence demanded I return to Android that I did. However, it is these issues that seem to cramp Android's hold over me and I find myself at a lose. This isn't the experience I want to have with a $500+ device!

Maybe it's me. Maybe I am not aware of a setting or a tweak that needs to be changed in order to get the pictures "over there!" However, I do recall the process to be an automatic one. The camera would recognize my SD card and ask if I'd like to use it as suppose to using the internal card. Has anyone else experienced these or any other types of issues due to he OTA?

I recently had a card go bad and do something similar. Now I use a 64GB Sandsk card (the class 10) and am no longer having issues. Try formatting the card in the phone vs. a PC. Other than that the camera should default to the external card. If it is not hopefully a format of the card in the phone itself will correct that.

Tried formating the card, but it's still not working! Just bought a new SanDisk 32 class 10. Hopefully this will do the trick!

Thanks for the recommendation!

how come almost everyone is using class 10 card on their S3 phones?
I don't know. That's just what it said on the package at Radio Shack! I don't have the faintest idea what 'Class xx' means. :D lol ;)

But popped it (a SanDisk Ultra SDHC - 32GB - Class 10 card) in, and it 's been working great. No formatting needed.

Class 10 has the fastest read and write speed. A lower class number means a slower read and write speed. :)

Thanks, sgsman7. ;) I was just reading about all that speed stuff on the SanDisk website. And linked the webpages on that $50.—Sandisk thread.
