Latest they could release for online shipment before xmas?

I am looking to buy the Nexus as a Christmas gift for a line on my family plan so I'll have to order it online so that I don't run into the problem of needing to activate it in store. From what I've seen in the past Verizon usually offers free 2day shipping on online upgrades, is this still true? What do you think is the latest they could release this phone and still have it be delivered before xmas?

I would tell the csr that the nexus is a gift and they will not activate it. I am planning on getting 2 of them on Thursday and I have already discussed this with the csr at the store I shop at and he said it would not be a problem.

yea when they ring it out there is an option to activate it later. just tell your rep and he can do that no problem.

Hmmm I've tried that before and the rep said I HAD to activate it before I walked out the door...store policy.
