I've had my HTC M9 for two years with no problems. I have sufficient memory and 54gb unused storage. Following the latest update, I consistently receive messages such as 'Android has stopped' and other similar error messages. My phone freezes up, shuts itself off, it heats up quickly and otherwise lags. I've tried restoring it to factory settings but that didn't help. Is it just me having this problem? I'm not in the financial position to buy a new phone, so I'd like to fix this if I can.

HTC used to provide RUU or Rom Update Utility for their devices. It basically installed the ROM from scratch. Im not sure if they still do but reloading the operating system my be your next option.
