Latest Update has caused so many problems!

Since doing the latest update my Note 9 is functioning terribly! Message app shuts down after EVERY text. The picture function freezes after every picture. My screen is on total delay when I swipe. IT IS AWFUL. My husband is deployed and I do NOT want to clear my messages! I have cleared the cache and checked in Safe Mode and I get the same shut down and message error. I am so frustrated and disappointed. If I have to do a full factory reset I am going to lose my mind. Has anyone found a fix??? Thank you!

Try rebooting to recovery mode (Volume Up + Bixby + Power keys). Let go the Power button when the Samsung Logo appears. If the Android icon with No Command appears, tap the screen.

From there, use the volume keys to get to the "Wipe cache partition" line, then press the Power button to wipe the cache partition (which is different than wiping cache from Setup). When the menu returns, it should be at "Reboot system now" - if not, use the volume buttons to get there, then press Power to restart.
