Latest update issues

I performed the latest update on my z fold 6. And I noticed my ram is sitting at 8gb, with nothing open. Even when I click optimize it goes down to around 7gb. Before latest update I was sitting around 4gb.
Is there a fix for this?

There's nothing to fix. Android isn't like Windows. Keeping RAM full is how it's supposed to operate.

I moved this from the One UI forum to the Z Fold6 forum.

Does it still happen in Safe Mode? https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10003495/. You should still be able to test YouTube in Safe Mode. If the lag goes away, then some app you installed is probably not playing nice with the latest system update.

Might try clearing YouTube app cache and force stop it .

Since this was preceded by a UI update, try clearing out the device's partition cache. To do this power off the device>power on the device by pressing and holding the volume up button and the power button until the Samsung splash screen and then release the power button>release the volume button when the phone has fully booted>use the volume buttons to navigate and the power to select. Clear partition cache. When finished reboot the phone normally and let us know what your result was.
