Just wondering if there was such a thing available? I'm tired of it showing up and using real estate. Worse yet apparently previous phones received an update to have an option to change button assignments.

The bar is caused by how sense handles apps that are not in compliance with Google design standards for the menu button. The only way to get rid of it is to root your phone. HTC on some phones has dual purposed the recent apps button to also serve as the menu button, but not on the dna.

NOVA and APEX Launchers seem to do the trick for everyone else.
You can check the "Post your home screens!" thread for examples. No need to root for this.

Would be really nice to have this without rooting, especially since they've done it for other phones.

What do need to do besides rooting?

I do have Nova Pro version, tried messing around with button assignments. However, I didn't really get anywhere.

Thanks for the replies.
