Launcher Pro and EB01 S.C. 2.9.

They don't like eachother. I don't know what's been going on with these two. It seems that every time launcher pro has to do its "restarts" to have changes take effect, it deletes every change that I've made. Does anyone know about this issue? Or is it just my phone. I've tried uninstalling LP and then re-installing, but it doesn't seem to fix it. Am I missing something here?

I had the same issue. I was running the fascinatingsense theme and had the LP Sensui running and every time i would run an app for like 2 mins and go back to my home screen all the setting went back...i just stopped running it

I just love launcher pro. The 'stock' launcher that SC 2.9 came with just doesnt cut it for me, and I've been trying all of the other home replacement apps, but none of them are as easy to use and as customizeable as Launcher Pro. Maybe flashing to stock froyo would be better. I'll have to think about it though..

I was actually using ADW for a while and think its more customizable then LP, but thats because of the huge icon packs that ADW has...i love changing the icons...i guess its just personal preference, but for now im sticking with the regular launcher

Do you think I need to get Launcher Pro Plus? I don't know if it would work still, but its worth a try. I bought it a while back, and I still have the code. I'll see what I can do.

i had this problem. I had to reflash sc 2.9 and wipe data/cache/dev. I think i actually wiped twice then flashed 2.9 and got it working. though now everytime i have to turn my phone on, i get an unresponsive while media scanner is going, and have to fc wait or cancel, which is a bit annoying.

It's not Launcher Pro and sc 2.9 that don't get along and won't let you save your changes, it's LP and the AOSP launcher that comes with SC. I had the same problem and it was really aggravating me that I couldn't keep the 3D app drawer. Here's what you do. If you don't have Root Explorer, get it from the market. Then open up root explorer. You will see a bunch of file folders listed in alphabetical order. Scroll to data and click on it, then scroll to the data folder on that page and click on it, then scroll to com.fede.launcher, long press on that folder and choose delete from that menu. Then scroll to the top and click on the folder that says parent folder. This will take you back one page, now click on parent folder again. On that page click on the dbdata folder, then click on the databases folder, scroll to com.fede.launcher here too and delete it. Now scroll to the top and click parent folder at the top of each page until you don't see the parent folder at the top of the page and hit the home soft key. Your changes in LP should save now. If they don't after that, a reboot of the phone should completely fix it.

No, I've never had that happen. Does it list a specific app, or just that exact quote? I'll do some digging.

Any luck, shark? I used to have the same issue, but then it went away for a while and I didn't get any force closes during start up, but I just restored all my apps plus data through titanium and the force closes are back. It doesn't really make any sense to me.

thanks Sharky, just ran into this issue today after I re-flashed SC2.9.1 to get rid of a theme. it wouldn't hold my LPP activation code at all, even after a restore.

Don't restore all apps plus data through TiBu. Only use the option of restore missing apps + data. That's where you're getting your FC's. Your bringing over some incompatible or corrupted data.

The only thing close to that I've noticed is sometimes LP will be a bit "frozen" after a reboot. I can't open the app drawer, I can't scroll between homescreens. I just long press the home soft key to bring up task manager, end LP, and I'm good to go.

I am curious are you using the option in LP to hold it in memory or something like that? I wonder if that is why you see the issue you describe?

Hey Suicide, I've never touched that option. The only reason I know to end LP to correct that is someone else had the same issue and that worked. Often times when that happens, there will be an orange highlight around my G-maps icon.

Ahh I was thinking maybe it was holding it in memory not allowing the OS to restart it causing the behavior thus requiring you to end task it manually.

go into the app drawer and to get out of it hit the home button. You should get a prompt asking which program you want to complete the action with. At the bottom will be an option you can check to make this the default choice. Check that, then click on LP
