Launchers

I'm using stock launcher til I get board then will go with Nova. You can save your Nova layout and put it on any phone.

That's exactly what I did... And you can import your pixel launcher settings directly into nova... So that time you spent positioning your apps etc isn't wasted.

There's also a plugin on the nova website to enable the Google page on the left... So it's all good news.

I use Evie and Nova prime. Evie is cool, simple and clean. Nova probably has a little edge with a little more features. Either one will do a great job.

I used Nova Prime for years.
But so far on the Pixel I have just stuck with the Pixel Launcher
:)

Will it really? Weird bc I had to do a hard reset yesterday and it didn't restore and didn't auto download my apps. I had to go into the play store and redownload everything

If you use the stock launcher, Google will save your layout when it does it's data backup. So when you restore, all that stuff gets reloaded.

Well, that all should have been backed up... It's easy enough to check if the account backup is running. Go into settings... Google -> Backup. If that's up to date, it should have been pulled down after a reset.

It says it did but when I click on my app data it's only the system apps being backed up, nothing else I've installed.

Sorry I keep forgetting to quote you. Just posted above

Nova for me along with Zooper. If the stock launcher could add icon packs and use folders in the app drawer I would use it.

I tried Microsoft launcher for a few minutes. Pretty cool, but laggy in spots like swiping up for dock and app drawer, so it had to go.
