LCD Density will not change

I used root explorer to change lcd density to 250. But nothing changes, rebooted and confirmed build.prop changes are there but display is the same. What the hell?

Can you please post the applicable lines from your build.prop file?

Can't copy/paste but I set the ro.st.lcd_density.xdpi=250 and same for the ydpi.

Try commenting out those lines and uncomment the line that says

ro.sf.lcd_density=???

Change the ??? to 250

personally I like a density of 200 but that is just me.

That did it, thanks alot, and ill try 200 as well.
