Leaked MC3 ROM - Please Be Careful

I agree with you about multi-window. It's a nice feature to have, however it's not something that I use daily. I haven't tried any of the other features in Premium Suite, for I still haven't flashed the ROM. What do you think of them?

PageBuddy and Contextual Menu require that you use TouchWiz as a launcher. I've switched to Nova, not because I dislike TW, but because I use Lightflow, and LF and TW don't get along very well. I did switch back to TW briefly to play with PB. It can be configured to display a custom screen on any, or all, of three conditions: Docked, Headphones connected, or Roaming. For example, you could configure a custom screen that has icons for multiple music apps, your video player, and YouTube, when you plug in headphones. This custom screen is in addition to your normal home screens, which are still accessible if you scroll left or right. I can see the docking one being somewhat useful, if you have a desk dock. I don't, so it doesn't do much for me. I can't figure out what I would use the roaming option for. And I guess the headphone option might be useful, but not really something I care about all that much.

If I were younger, and part of a group of friends who all (or most) had S3s, Auto Shot Share might be kind of cool in certain social situations. I'll never use it, though.

The updated Gallery app has multiple new views, most of which seem gimmicky to me. One of the layouts I find useful, though, so on balance that's a net gain.

Finally, Paper Artist is cooler than I thought it would be. It's not something that you'd want to do to every picture, but it's got some nice effects that will be cool if used sparingly.

One More Thing: I flashed the updates from LJ7 to MA6 and MB1 without doing a factory reset, and had no issues at all. So I flashed this ROM the same way. But I'm running into some little glitches with a few apps that I didn't see before. This isn't the final version of the update, of course, but I think flashing this ROM may well require a factory reset to get the best out of the device.

I'm going to give the ROM a shot tonight after I make my little guy his dinner. Thanks for the info, meyerweb. I'm going to clean flash it as well.

Another thing: has anyone tried the MC3 optimized kernel? Thoughts?
