Leave kyocera alone!

I take back what I said. this phone is god awful. please let htc come and save the day for sprint at CTIA

I'm skeptical about this. Almost seems gimmicky.

2.2, Snapdragon, limited battery...Developers would have to really jump on this for it to catch on.

Which i don't think will happen considering the complexity of the duel screens. It seems like a waste of time to me.

I said this in another thread, but I'll reiterate it here. I wont judge it just yet, not until we at least get some sort of hands on with it anyway. But this has to be one of the ugliest phones I've seen in a while...

If sprint doesnt get there act together and put out something great by the end of the summer, ill be headed to t mobile.

No wonder they implemented the new plans where every new smartphone on sprint costs the extra 10 dollars that before only applied to 4g phones.

This thing is a dog, an ugly one..... 199 dollar, not make me holla!

Seriously? Was that necessary? A dual screen phone...ugh...

I was looking forward to today, but now, I am crushed, hoping for some good news from MWC and especially CTIA, Sprint better show a real flagship device. Every other carrier has announced a dual core phone (wait, did T-Mobile announce one?), anyhow, the top 2 have dual core phones, Sprint needs one....BADLY. What we don't need is this...this...thing....ugh, I feel sick....

Maybe the teenagers will like it?

I had a kyocera flip phone years ago. Could only get calls outside or standing in front of a window. Took a hammer to it (literally) and went out and bought a LG (that ate a battery ever 3 months). I hate kyocera now, as a result.

Who knows, the dual screen thing could help with the PS Suite app that Sony has in store. Phandroid said that the Snapdragon processor didn't feel very fast on the device so it seems to me that the idea of two screens is what probably got it to be slower, everyone needs to keep in mind that the processor is showing 2 screens at once so no big surprise the performance is diminished as a result.

I'm a teenager, so not my type of teenager :)

This will not have stock, that's a fact, Android cannot run natively like that. The Continuum is proof of this

/Eatz shortz????

:D

We forgive you :)

Don't worry, there'll be an Evo 2

Many people must be fired. The shame is too great.

Kyocera, just go home. When you fail that badly, you don't get a second chance.

The Zio was great compared to this.

This is a "Product 1". The first of its kind. They are going to see how it works, and developer interest, and if that all turns out well, they'll continue with the second version (which is for sure already in the works, as most cell phones are in the works for well over 1 year before it actually gets released), which will most likely be fully spec'd out.

I'm sure it will be buggy, and have its flaws, but I can't wait to get one.

Just think, the second iteration could have one of those fancy bendy screens manufacturers have been working on for the last few years. No spit in the screens would be nice. This will get better with Honeycomb also. Remember, first version.

So, I'm anxiously awaiting to hear what HPalm announces today. However, if there's nothing earth shattering from them in the WebOS world, then I'll be picking one of these up.

Its perfect for all the times I'm stuck at a practice for one of the kids, or just surfing the web, etc. Its a great solution to having a mini-tablet around when I want it, or having just a smartphone for normal use.

I'm willing to give it a chance. My biggest concern is 3rd party developers adopting it...without that, it will be an oddity (much like the original Palm OS became towards the end.)

So, I'm anxious to try it and see. It has potential.

Although I will most likely never get the phone, I do really like the idea of one whole screen for a keyboard... Other than that I'm not that impressed but to a select group of people this phone may be a reason they come to sprint, or this phone may be the future of maybe one day a better looking two screen phone. I will give it to Kyocera though, they did make a pretty ingenious hinge..

When it does come out ... if I like it I'm getting it(Hopefully).
