Led flashes when waking phone

Sometimes when I wake my phone the led flashes something between a white and lavender color. Does anyone else's do this?

The lavender type color on mine is Yahoo Messenger.

I'm pretty sure that the led can emit any color and developers can program them to any color they choose to use as their notification.

That's correct. LED's are designed completely different from traditional lights in that they can emit basically any color it is programmed to emit. Developers of apps, and even you and I (with a little hacking and developing know-how) could code an application to tell the LED to emit a disco-style color if we wanted to.

I know that. I'm saying when you wake your phone from sleep, a light purple light flashes on the led. Apparently many ppl see this.

Ok good to know as of right now the only purple looking led I get is from yahoo messenger ,but even for those that may get led flashing and nothing else and,as long as,it stops that falls under my "non-issue clause " lol
