Ok, I just found that my LED is not no longer staying lit, what happened you ask? I rooted the phone using the one-click method that I followed on XDA which is the same thing I did before.
I think I am gonna go un-rooted as I like my LED to stay lit. There it is, twas the root that did me in

Looks like after a stock restore like before, the LED still goes off after a few mintues. I let the OTA push through instead of the manual update, I do not know if they are different but now I am back to square one with my indicator going off. It was all working until I rooted the device. Kind of lost at this point, bummed out too.
