LED notification light quit working after update

Has anyone else had this problem or now how to fix this??

Bring the phone to your carrier, tell them what happened (just what you posted here) and ask them to please redo the update for you, since it appears that the over the air update failed. (A lot of them do, because the Android update method is at least 10 years older than Android itself.)

I had this same problem. Today, it worked! What happened was, I received a text while my phone (Samsung Galaxy 5) was charging. The LED notification was blinking. Hurray! I then asked my husband to send a text while my phone wasn't charging. Still worked. Hope this helps!

my LED switches off only when i andwer a whatsapp text when i am charging i have to on the screen and off it to make it work again other wise its working well

I've been using an app called Light Flow. Used it on my S5 (Verizon) using KitKat 4.4.4. No issues. Now on Lollipop and Light Flow is working great....no issues. My LED notification light will blink with what ever LED color I have choosen. All I can say is....thank goodness it still works.

When I have my phone on Silent nothing works not even LED I need to increase battery for it to work. I just got the lollipop 5.0 update

But Light flow doesn't work when phone on silent

I mute my S5 at night. I don't use my S5 for an alarm clock. I also have Light Flow set up with their "sleep settings". So no blinking LED after 11 PM. It will start blinking at 4AM. Had it set up this way on KitKat 4.4.4 and it stayed the same on Lollipop 5.0.

I figured it out..hopefully its not too confusing....I have to have my phone on silent at work...so...your handset your up and down button on the side to choose to vibrate, ring or silent..put on vibrate ...after that go into your settings and find messages turn on to silent...after that your main screen will still show vibrate. However it will be silent and the blue light lights up again after any type of notification. .hope this is helpful.

i have this problem before , but when i restart the phone , then the problem have been solved

I tried what LaRhonda mentioned and that works but I hope someone can figure out how to make it work how it is supposed to.
