I used the app to mainly turn on AOD when I have notifications from apps that I care about (instead of AOD on all the time) and as soon as I read the notifications or swipe them away, AOD will turn back off. Perfect to what I need.

That said, using camera ring as LED notification is also an option in the setting. Didn't use that though.
