LED notifications off at night?

Is there a way to automatically turn the led light at night when I'm sleeping? I don't want to modify the way the led currently works, but I just want to turn off the annoying light when it's next to my bed.

On the Note 2, there was an option in blocking mode to turn off the LED. Note 4 & 5 the option has been taken out. I have just turned off LED notifications all together. Wish Samsung would put it back in.

My alarm app, gentle alarm, turns them off when I put the phone on wireless charger at night.

Plugging it in will also disable the led lights

Some third-party apps turn the LED off on scheduled times...

As dpham00 mentioned, "Do not disturb" option in "Sound and notification" allows one to turn off calls and alerts during specified times. That's what I have configured, and place the phone screen away from me and angled down so that any notification lights aren't visible. I think there's also an option to enable "muting" the phone when placed face down, as bassplayrguy suggests. I've used that option to "mute" calls when at work, and think it could also be an option to hide the LED notification light.
