LED Notifications

I don't have to shake or flick my Ultra. I get the notification as soon as I nudge it or just pick it up. Have to nudge it about an inch before it comes on and just picking it up a few inches gets the notifier. Just reached over and picked it up now and there it was.

Yeah, it seems as long as there is any motion, it displays a notifier. That's a nice feature. I thought it would be a waste, but it's very useful.

I don't know what you're all talking about. I can only get this to work if my phone was face down.

Something is wrong then. That shouldn't be the case.

Does this only work if you have a notification?

Edit: must be because it works. I was trying it with just the clock on.

+1. It works for us. I just picked up my phone with no notifications. The time and a lock symbol came on, nothing else. If yours doesn't do that, either there is something wrong or there is a setting that disables it.

Oh well, I've been fine with how it is since I got it. I'm on my second Maxx and neither has done it with the clock. The first one had a loose backing so I had to return it.

But you're missing out on the blinky lights! What's life without blinky lights???? :)

A less informed life.. with no sd card.

Wow, you obviously haven't lived with active notifications, I would say without them I was very uninformed compared to now with them. And SD cards are great, just like cassette tapes were great, but the future is the cloud and if you use it properly you don't need a SD card. It's not like I had to settle for an Ultra because I couldn't get anything else for Pete's sake. I got the phone I wanted and you can get what you want. With a SD card! :)

Yup Note 3 seems to fit the bill for my needs although even without sd card the lg g2 is tempting also. I never thought I'd dump motorola again and I do like the new screen but t no sd card, old processor, no led, and no price reduction for loss of features all add to to too much negatives for me.

The cloud is the future for the carriers. They are the path to a flat wallet for us. Here is the plan; 1) Remove SD cards. 2) Push data intensive services like music and video streaming 3) Insttitue data caps with outrageous penalties and tiered plans that require the sale of your first born to afford. Result? New Maserati Quattro in the garage of the Verizon CFO.

I do miss the SD card. But I don't carry much music or any video, so I can manage without it. But it kind of sucks that they are dropping it. It sure is handy sometimes, even for me. That's one thing Samsung has over these phones. So I guess it all depends on how you are going to use your phone, as always.

I agree... so I will reward Samsung with my business since they still have sd card.

I noticed my phone does show the Active Notifications when I pick the device up. It just doesn't do it when I am attempting to do it for no reason
How strange... Lol. It reads my mind!

Hmmm. Is it always where you set it down? When you wake up in the morning, has it moved? Do small items go missing? Lights flicker on and off? :)
