Last night I woke up at around 3 am. To my suprise it looked like the sun had come out in my room. The Camera flash led on my note 2 had come on and lit the entire room up. I could not get it to shut off either unless I pulled the battery. It is still on right now. I have cycled power to the phone, hard and soft resets. Anyone have any suggestions or hear of this problem? I haven't found much on it. Been looking all day. My phone was very hot last night when it was on the charger as well. The led is much brighter when I plug it in, and like I said it won't go out unless I pull the battery. The minute I plug the battery back in, the led comes right back on :-( please help

Does it come on with your phone off? If so, then something INSIDE the phone got shorted. I'd take it to be repaired.

Yes that's what I am afraid of. It stays on even with the phone powered down. I have no idea how it could have shorted. I am not one to tinker with my 2 month old expensive phones.

If it's 2 months old at least you're still covered by Warranty. And hey, maybe it wasn't something you did, maybe it was a bad connector or something that was poorly soldered and was just waiting to snap, whether you used it or not...

Yeah, I was really hoping this wasn't a unique problem. With the new update and all. Thanks for your input. I will have to see what I need to do for warranty work.

Also check your local Consumer Office laws... In some countries if your purchase was less than 3 months ago, it can't go to repair and has to be replaced with a new unit.
