LEDs while docked

Hi all,

I used to use LEDs Hack to turn off the 4 bottom leds when I have my droid docked in the media dock. With froyo, the app did not seem to work very well. I noticed that during the day, the LEDs will turn off but at night, they stay on. It appears that if I put my finger over the flash during the day(while docked), the LEDs will come on. Auto brightness did not have an effect on this.

Anyone know a way around this? Will the LEDs hach work on froyo?

It's worked for me on all of the froyo roms I've tried (2 leaks, Bugless Beast, Kangerade and now Sapphire)

Do the LED lights go off when you hit the dim button in the top right hand corner of the screen? it does on my phone. (on Onix and Simply Stunning anyways)

I dims the screen but not the LEDs on the bottom of the screen. If I dock during the day, the LEDs go off but not at night. I docked it earlier and put my finger over the flash and the LEDs lit up so it looks like it is trying to light up at night

Alright, I installed the LEDs hack and now I remember why I uninstalled it ...

When I dim the screen while docks, it will undim after a few seconds. The LEDs go off but the screen becomes too bright and the green clock screen won't stay up. I thought I read some where that this can be fixed but installing the newer superuser app but it is listed as experiemental in rom manager. Will this fix the issue?

What froyo rom are you running? I had that issue on one of Cyanogen's eclair roms but haven't run into the problem on any of the Froyo ones I've tried. Also I just noticed that opening the clock app and hitting the dim button will dim the screen and turn off the leds on the Sapphire rom I'm running like ebruot said. Hadn't noticed it until now since I use Leds Hack to turn off the leds when in the dock whether the screen is dimmed or not.

I am running bugless beast .02.1. Everything seems to work OK but the dimming just does not stay on. Any reason to worry about installing the experimental superuser on rom manager?

It should work fine.

If nothing else, try the Onix froyo or Chevy's Simply Stunning 4.2, I have had real good luck with both.

The LED's dim for me when I tap the power button. Running BB 0.2.1. No app/hack required.

yeah same here. I got so used to using LED's Hack, I didn't think to try the dock without the app. but apparently the bottom LED's turn off once the screen is dimmed in froyo...no LED'sHack app required...at least on jrummy's kangerade

I installed the older superuser and reinstalled leds hack. All is working now.
