So i have always been using an air vent phone holder. And until now NO PHONE has shown any kind of fogging this severe until this S20 Ultra. The camera lens cover always have fog... Takes a while for it to disappear. Is this normal?

My stepson placed the trashcan just off the kitchen directly over an A/C vent on the floor. We had figured out a way to refrigerate our trash!. When I threw the still-hot coffee grounds into the trashcan we had a sudden, but drastically scaled-down, thunderstorm. I'm dramatizing what actually happened a bit but condensation did form on the inside of the lid.

Ah you must be 1 of the smartest human in the world.

Its not just simple physics. Its because the quality of the lens cover is getting ugly... I never had my phone camera lens fog up this bad.
It is simple physics....that's the cause of the condensation. The fact that it didn't fog up as badly on other devices may have many variables. The device probably runs hot at times and with the vent blowing cold air at it you're bound the encounter condensation. It is a very large and deep camera module so that may be part of the issue. I don't use air vent mounts for a reason, now I have another reason not to use one.

Whats weirder is that... My past phones could be on the mount for 30+ mins and fog up for a while whereas my S20U fog up in less than 5mins. And the fog lasts long enough for me to think about it...

I guess you had no room for your trash in your refrigerator. Seriously, why are you chilling the trash?

Yeah, well, my stepson was setting up a Roomba and a Bissell robot vacuum cleaner. He also moved the coffee island that was up against one wall in the kitchen. He just placed the trashcan there without considering the A/C vent. The trash was cold. When I poured the hot coffee grounds into the trashcan a plume of steam rose; just like opening the dishwasher as it has finished. After all of that moving stuff around the Roomba mop vac couid access the entire kitchen floor. It turns out that the less-sophisticated Bissell is more dependable but it doesn't mop.

Significantly larger camera and lens could be the reason for it.
