Less Expensive Note?

Sorry, I did not see this until just now. Check with the seller to see if he has any compatible with AT&T.

Thank you! I checked it out, unfortunately, for whatever reason, the AT&T phones are closer to $500 or more. I'm trying to stay around $400 since this is supposed to be a temporary device till the next note iteration. Otherwise I'll have to stick with the device for at least 2 years and so far there's nothing else out for me that makes me want to look forward to keeping it for that long.

Well darn it ... I will keep a look out for you this morning to see if I can find one for less. Have you tried Offer Up? You may find a phone right there in your area. You can look online or download the app.

Congratulations!
I got the Note5 yesterday at Verizon. I had the 4 before the 7 and skipped the 5.
Glad it was there. Two other customers were there with their 7's too and they too got the Note5. I am content and Verizon has been great. I feel bad for the carriers.
I just hope everyone is polite and patient.
I have a good friend who works at the Norterra location and some customers act like it's Verizon fault and take it out on the reps. We all need to be kind and thoughtful.! It's a stressful time for us the consumer as well as our carriers.
Be nice. If you were in their shoes how would you like to be treated?
No one has ever seen a phone recall like this. Be nice to your rep

You are absolutely correct. Verizon employees I am sure have been put through the ringer on this situation and it is not their fault. I think it was great that Verizon made it so that all these returns can be handled online and through a return box. Makes it much easier for the foot soldiers in the stores and even on the phone.

I will also take a look into that. I never knew about Offer Up.

Thanks again!

You're welcome and I did not know about Offer Up until July when we were doing an estate sale for my mom who had to downsize. I sold my Note 4 from that app, ironically just a few days before Samsung said game over, but that is Okay ... I spent $100 more than what I got for the Note 4 for the refurbished S7Edge and at least I will feel I still have a bit of Note left with me because of the curves and all glass.

Thank you!

I read on one of the threads that AT&T was giving Note 7 owners a free S7 and allowing them to keep their upgrade. Have you heard this?

Damn! I have not. Link??

But I bought mine outright from Best Buy. I was at a Best Buy today to take a closer look at the Honor 8 and the S7 Edge. I want to go with an unlocked one either way. I have a 10% off coupon that says it's valid for an off contract/unlocked mobile device. I might try to work with that and go after the S7E that way.

The Samsung rep and the Best Buy rep both said I can take my time with making a decision because for both Samsung and Best Buy, they are still getting little bits of information every day since Monday. I would like to wait to see what happens, but I cannot wait too long as I am paying for this device off with my BB card. I don't want to start making payments towards something that I may not have to or even cannot use. Both reps believed there is going to be an extended return period, but the Samsung rep firmly believed that the devices will eventually become crippled and/or disabled. He said he was seeing people coming in with the original devices that only got 60% battery life after some kind of update, which leads him to believe that they will disable them eventually. That is all still speculation at this point, but so far there is nothing to say it couldn't or wouldn't happen either.

The Honor 8 was pretty nice, the screen was crisp. Very responsive. But I don't recall it having expandable storage, and I am not sure what the battery life would be like on it. I'm still trying to do some research on it. I was looking into the Axon7, but that doesn't have the expandable storage. Or maybe I have my info mixed up.

Very interesting information from the Samsung rep. Keep us posted as to what you chose to do :)
