Let Google know about signal issues here

i get frequent dropped calls and very slow data speeds. that's why we are hoping for a fix shortly. that's one of the reasons we chose to get a nexus, quick fixes and updates before anyone else.

Agreed, but again, I REALLY dont think it'll be long, still its been under a month of this release. But please post anything you can on Google's forum pages.:cool:

Looks like its working, we got someone from Google to reply;

This phone is getting killed because of this.

Hope they do somthing quick. I like the phone a ton just the signal issue fixed.

Man I hate to break it to you but stay away from PC Mag, they are the worst when it comes to REAL articles or reviews. I know we are having issues, but I can care less what that website has to say, but don't take my word for it, you'll see. They bash Android a lot.:mad:

They also got specs incorrect. The front-facing camera is not 1.3megapixel as that review states.

Thats good info thanks.. Still its another article sighting the signal issue. The more its exposed the better are chances of a timely fix!

Can you tell me the difference between 1 and 2 bars of signal compared two 3 and 4? Both still work correct? I'm pretty sure that one or two bar difference is not going to effect your use on the phone. Calls will still come in and so will text messages. I don't under the whole bars issue. My real question is how many people are dropping calls? Number wise. I have only dropped one.

"At least here in the US, it's pounded into our heads early on that bars = signal level = fewer problems overall. And it's kind of true. Generally speaking, the number of bars being displayed on your cell phone gives a general idea of whether you have a good chance of making a call.

However, there are a number of variables that the phone takes into account when figuring out exactly how many bars to show you in the first place, and in fact, those variables can be (and often are) different among cell carriers, manufacturers, or even different devices from the same manufacturer. Put simply, the number of bars displayed on your phone does not necessarily equal signal level; rather, it would be more accurate to say that the bars are "correlated" with signal level."

Check out these articles for more information. They put it much better than I can.

The NS4G just came out, give Sammy a break, we'll get our fix soon enough

I heard this OS handles it different, my nexus shows way less loss of connection under the battery stats while at my work. My Evo would show up to 80% sitting on my toolbox my nexus is less than 5%.

I sure hope it comes out before the 8th of June or mine is going back. Then I have to make a choice of either a Epic or an EVO. My husband has the Epic and has no problems and my soon to be daughter in law has the EVO and she doesn't have any problems either. So many choices......

I feel bad for everyone that are having issuses. I just don't see it on my phone. Yes its sitting right next to me in my office with 2 bars but I don't care. 4 bars or 2 bars doesn't make me want to return this phone. If my phone was always searching for service then I could understand. But its not doing that.

No update will be out in the near future. You are going ot have to wait at least 60 or 90 days.

Well...the bars aren't my concern. For me it's the 4G and wifi reception that are real problems. 4G is a selling point for this phone...and it simply does not function stably on my phone. Same with wifi...on a public signal I can access fine. On a secure signal, even after entering the correct passcode, I cannot connect and the phone continues scanning for signal. These are both significant issues...bars be damned. I paid $200 plus I will be charged extra money every month for my two year contract, so I want my 4G and wifi!!

I can feel your pain on the wifi and 4g. What kind of router do you have at home? I'm wondering if your settings on your home router is not allowing you to gain full speed to a mobile device. I know I have a cisco router at home and after fine tuning some of the settings I'm getting a good strong signal. Let me know and maybe I can help you out with that. 4G service is spotty at best. Even in areas where it states excellent service receiption. Its full of crap. I have buddies who work as sprint techs and they tell me all the time about how crappy it really is. My gfs epic still has trouble pulling up a good 4g signal and I live in the chicagoland area that is " suppose " to have full 4G coverage.
