Or maybe bank statements, personal files, important passwords, things of that nature. If people are willing to give a complete stranger complete access to your computer and personal information have fun. I've seen people do more stupid and senseless things before....

I hear you... I don't really keep any bank statements or truly personal information on my PC.... and YES I have seen people do much dumber things... I watched a show on TV where a DOCTOR and his wife who was also a DOCTOR got a phone call from some people saying they had won the International lottery even though they never purchased a ticket and in order to get their $2 million bucks they had to send a cashier check to cover the taxes.... AND THEY SENT THEM A CHECK FOR $300,000..... That is just nuts.

There are plenty of companies that do remote access to computers... Even when the company I work for remote accesses my computer I don't walk away and just leave them at it... (and I doubt very seriously I would allow a total and complete stranger to remote access my computer from these forums.. but it is cool and nice that he is offering his services.. Hopefully no one gets burned)

I'm more than sure that the op intentions are good. But if anyone goes through the labor of enabling remote access on their pc, should know how to root their phone in the same amount of steps.

I had no problem with him helping me. Besides, I just covertly copied all HIS PC's info while he rooted my EVO. If something ever happens to my PC, boom! I release his PC's info to the Internet.

Upstreammiami has been on these forums for a long while and is WELL respected in the Inc forums. He has helped countless "Noobs" (myself included once upon a time) many times over learning the ins and outs of taking command of their phone. You will be able to see everything going on with your computer and can kill the connection at any time if you feel the need. I think he should be applauded for taking his personal time to help people who need it expecting nothing in return. If you don't need his help, feel free to not comment and move on to the next thread...
