Simon playing yesterday.
Thanks Kizzy. These are fabulous photos with a ton of details and no graining of the zoomed in shots. I love the low light photos with the sun in the trees. Very artistic.
More tripod shots using night sight.![]()

Less about the subjects and more about the situation. Dim room, fidgety sleepy child, mom struggling to hold child while reading books. Point and shoot, no edits, no touch-ups.
Regular photo, portrait, then wide to get full reference as to how poor the lighting conditions are.
Excuse the mess =/.

What precious photos. Keepsakes for sure!
Thanks. I hate posting so much family stuff, and my wife would kill me if she knew, but I am always just blown away with how the Pixel does with people. Google needs to highlight this ability way more, as I bet it would convert so many casual smart phone users, especially with how vanilla the Pixel is compared to the depth of the Samsung line of phones. It's like the iPhone of Android now...and I'm okay with that(?)
To be fair, my wife has a 13 Pro Max, and I took the same exact shots on that phone too, and it did really well. So it's not just the Pixel (although when testing side by side in identical situations and lighting, the Pixel blurs motion way less)...but it's def not something any Samsung can do.

i agree. i have tried so many phones recently and none come even close to the p6p imo when it comes to portraits. here’s a recent shot i love the quality of. a digital zoom because i was too close. i’m amazed at the detail.

I totally agree with you. I'm a preschool teacher and I use my phone for documentation purposes -- and photos of faces, movement, etc are captured brilliantly on my Pixel 5. My S10 performed well in outdoor settings and did mostly well indoors but the details of faces weren't as pronounced. Plus, any movement whatsoever would be 50/50. My Pixel 5 performs much better and I imagine the 6 and 7 do/will, as well.
3rd grade teacher here, and yes, outdoors my Note 10+ does well, but indoors, forget about it, all Pixel or I'll have some upset parents who don't like that their kid was blurry in the activity.
OH MAN, teacher problems, am I right? "Well, it's clear they're having fun -- they're in action mode!" ?????? We were given midrange or budget Samsung tablets for work and I can't use them for photos -- the image stabilization drives me crazy. I totally know what you're saying!
Wow so good! Now if only Google could fix with antenna issues I'd be content. Excellent shot though.i agree. i have tried so many phones recently and none come even close to the p6p imo when it comes to portraits. here’s a recent shot i love the quality of. a digital zoom because i was too close. i’m amazed at the detail.
