This is AMAZING. Hope you and your family fared okay after the tropical storm.

We were very fortunate to emerge unscathed -- never even lost power or cable at our apartment in downtown Orlando. I've experienced numerous hurricanes in locations all over Florida, from Key West to Tallahassee, but never encountered one that brought sustained winds and rain of such intensity for such a lengthy duration. The storm took all night to crawl past; and when dawn arrived, Lake Eola across the street from us had overflowed its banks to submerge the surrounding park and streets -- something that had never happened in living memory, according to local residents. Incredibly, though, by the following morning it had largely receded to its normal level. Here are the before-and-after (unedited) photos taken from our balcony with my Pixel 6 Pro on Thursday morning and Friday morning:

Girlfriend and I took a trip to London and Edinburgh in September. Sadly we were there when the Queen passed away. We did the usual tourist stuff as much as we could as many things closed after the Queens passing. We also attended the Battle of Britain airshow at Duxford so there'll be lots of pictures of classic WW2 era aircraft.
