Let's see your Pixel 8 and 8 Pro photos!

Just messing around in the pro camera controls and have a question about the focus button. I get that the pink lines are highlighting the part of the picture that is in focus before you take it and you can manually adjust the focus more in or out but what is the advantage of doing this over just tapping on the viewfinder to bring the part of the picture you want in focus?
 
Indoor + low light, but next to a window. She was mid-sentence.

No blur, individual hair strands are defined, and you can even see some food on her face =/.

Pixels are the KING of indoor lowlight pics of people. Undisputed, and the one reason it's been my daily driver since the 3.

-3 shots at 1x, 2x and 5x.
-6pm and overcast with a constantly moving subject.
-No standing still to pose, all captured mid-motion. Even with the 5x, hair detail isn't lost.
