Hi all I need help. The phone take nice daytime photos but very often I'm out at a bar or concert and need to use the flash for selfie or group shot. Using the main camera at night with flash or nightsight takes like 3 seconds minimum to take a shot. Obviously that will never work for a group shot. Is there a way to make it take the shot immediately with one quick flash or should I take the phone back? This is a deal breaker for me.
Most helpful thanks. White knighting for a phone in 2023 is adorable.I hate to be that guy, but despite Pixel being the best at indoor lowlight, I don't think it's too much to ask adults to stand still for 3 seconds to get a nice picture.
Have you just tried turning flash and night sight off? I would think that at a bar or concert there would still be enough light to get a pretty good shot.
Actually if there is decent light I will surely do that because the post processing does some good things. It's just in a case very low light I want to just quickly snap the moment... could even be an action shot. Any movement at all from either the operator or subject makes the image poor.
Night sight is great for perfectly still scenes which these are not. I also am not really enjoying the portrait photography so far. Going to compare with a friends iPhone tonight and see if I can handle the way it is currently or if the iPhone is better for me (Android user for a long time but want a great camera).
The thing about the flash that I don't like the most is it's not consistent for when it takes the pic... like 3 or 5 seconds. It lights up the scene and then it can take a while to snap the shot and I have no idea when that will happen.
