Lens IDs it as a Limpkin, related to a crane.Cute bird. What kind is it?
Eek, where is this? The beginnings of our first storm of winter.
It usually warms up for a week or so after before real winter kicks in.![]()
Very good to know only because it is quite a bit farther north (and west) from me. Although Central NY has been known to get snow this early and as late as July.Okotoks AB.
The size of the 50mp image is smaller than I'd expect. The second one has multiple shots you can pick from to show, so that makes it larger than a single 12mp image. It doesn't have the motion photo extension, so I'm not sure if that's what it is, or just a multi-shot image.Any idea why a picture taken in 12mp mode is larger than a picture taken in 50mp pro mode?

Not to mention I am nestled up to the mountains here, so weather is at best, unpredictable. We do get Chinooks in the winter though.Very good to know only because it is quite a bit farther north (and west) from me. Although Central NY has been known to get snow this early and as late as July.
That's got to be it. I took two more similar shots, and I took one in a standard 12mp mode, and the other was 50mp RAW, and the 12mp was still larger due to topshot. I think that's a little strange that there has been a lot of people warning against taking 50mp raw pictures, when actually, taking standard pics with topshot on takes up way more space. The size of the 50mp image is smaller than I'd expect.
