LG 3 and Android 6.0

are you saying you rooted g3 or how did you get ver 6. idiots at boost mobile is my carrier. the stylo got ver 6 a day after i returned it and got g3.......sickening/ will it be months until an OTA brings \update to g3

I have the T-Mobile version of the G3. My battery life is not really an issue for me but if 6.0 marshmallow improved battery life and performance will be an amazing upgrade. I agreed with you that also we will not see an OTA upgrade until February or March.

You can flash the official firmware using the LG tool, a PC and the KDZ file from XDA (I can't post URLs from my account yet so just Google XDA LG G3 Marshmallow).

My phone is no longer rooted but I do have a custom recovery (TWRP) which allows me to flash without a PC which is easier, but both methods will void your warranties and could brick your phone if you don't know what you're doing.

I also flashed the KDZ file on my UK D855 - very impressed. I haven't come across any problems and the long standing Bluetooth music stutter problem that was introduced by Lollipop appears to be fixed, or at least greatly reduced.
