LG 4G (VS985 4G LTE) DAC Replacement?

Since both have the same symptom that started the same day, I am assuming there is a common failure point and that is the DAC or the OP Amp after the DAC (if the OP Amp is not built into the DAC.)

Does anyone have experience replacing the DAC (or if one exists, the OP Amp?)

Schematics would be nice, pictures would also be nice. I am fully capable of reworking SMT devices.

Are you fully capable of working on smartphones, though? The G3 isn't as tough as some, but it's easy to break something in it just by taking the inside back off and the motherboard out. Then you have a nice little case that doesn't pay to fix.

I am totally willing to take the risk. The phone is almost unusable now so I really have nothing to loose.
