Lg 5 or v10

Is the audio through headphones night and day on the stock lg g5 vsv10.

I dont consider myself an audiophile (yet) but enjoy listening to good qualiy music.

I usually listen on koss porta pros, sure 215's and sony mdr headphones,(cant remember the model number).

I would just get the v10 but the size puts me off. Its not available in the shops here in the uk so i cant try it out.

This is kind of speculative, because I haven't heard the G5 personally, but working from the premise that it's average or even slightly above average for a phone with only built-in Snapdragon audio hardware and having used all of the headphones you mentioned (though not all with my V10), you'll hear a small difference with your Shures, since they're very easy to drive and efficient, a somewhat bigger difference with your Porta Pros, and the biggest difference with your Sony MDR (V6 or 7506?) headphones, being originally designed for studio use, not mobile use, and therefore benefiting the most from the much more powerful amp built into the V10

G5 vs v10 audio battle surely has one winner, hands down v10.. That said, if you bring in the hifi dac modular thingy for the g5, then we got a draw

It's good over Bluetooth and dreadful over headphones. I use the beats wireless and it sounds great but there isn't enough power to drive the shore headphones I have. It's almost like they deliberately detuned the headphone sound so you have to buy the external DAC module, which won't be available for us in the US. Absolute clowns.
