LG AI Cam not working properly?

I purchased an LG V35 from Amazon. It's the Alexa version and I'm using AT&T. Everything is fine but the AI cam seems to not work the way I've seen other phones work on Youtube.

When I toggle the AI cam and point it at an object, it seems to only be able to detect the object but nothing else. Based on what I've seen, I should see words pop up all over the screen to tag various objects/colors in the background as well. But mine doesn't do any of that. This problem exists with all 3 cameras and I already contacted LG and they told me to reset the software and try again. Same result.

Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening? Is there a setting? Or is the Alexa version of the phone just different? Thanks in advance!

I have a different lg phone and AI cam acts the same as you described. It just adjusts the profile for me and I thought that was all it was intended to do. Perhaps you're thinking of Google Lens or something similar? Never used lens, but I think it performs a similar function to what you described.

Hmm. I contact LG and they said it should be tagging objects in the background as well. If you look at the link below, you'll see that once the AI cam is toggled, all these words start flashing on the screen as the AI feature attempts to identify everything it sees:

Mine doesn't do that and only seems to detect the thing in focus (e.g. person, flower, animal, beverage, food, etc.). And for everything else it just defaults to "auto."

LG said that I can send the phone to them and they can fix it and send it back, but that's a 2 week process and I'm not sure if there's an easier way to fix this. It's not a big deal really because I don't think the AI feature works all that well anyway, but I'd like to know that the hardware and software are all functioning properly. That's all.
