Hi everyone,

For those who experienced the bootloop problem, I think it's helpful to get some statistics on what has been tried, and what didn't work, and if something did work, for how long. Things like the hair dryer method have anecdotal evidence of success, while I'm sure there are many people for whom nothing worked. Please help by making a brief post, copy and paste the appropriate lines from below. Feel free to make additional notes.

1. Hair dryer 10 minutes with the case
2. Hair dryer 10 minutes with the mainboard out
3. Hotter than dryer (open flame, heat gun)
4. Upright freezer (higher temps, highers fluctuation)
5. Chest freezer (stable, low temps)
6. Oven (please provide temperature)
7. Other

Personally, I have tried:

2. Hair dryer 10 minutes with the mainboard out. Tried couple times, the phone didn't stay on long enough to do anything
5. Chest freezer (left on the floor, coldest setting~ -5F) First try -couple minutes. Second try - maybe three.

The most common workaround was putting in a freezer, but this was only to let you backup your device. Leave it for 10-15 min, then boot up and backup while leaving it in the freezer. I did this, but I also had it happen a couple winters ago in Wisconsin. So when it first happened to me, I went outside with it so I could let my wife know I'd be out of contact until I got home (I drive for a living, so losing contact without warning is understandably worrisome).

I saw some report mild success with ovens and dryers, but not as many. Probably because less people tried it, due to the increased risk of causing additional damage. This too was a last ditch work around for getting things backed up.
