LG brings option for app drawer (with a catch)

According to a new LG UX 5.0 promotional video uploaded today, the G5 adds a new option to use a home + app draw option that previously wasn't there. The only catch seems to be that it indicates that it does more then just add an app draw, but rather it completely kicks you back to the G4/V10 UX complete with older app icons and all. Did they really need to do that just to add an app draw option?? Is this incentive to not want to use it on purpose? Really, really strange implementation.

Just saw that too.

I'm thinking it means that since MWC, LG heard that the app drawer's absence was the biggest complaint and this is the way they could bring it back in time for the release date.

I agree, it's an inelegant solution. But props to them for listening. Maybe a future update provides a better one.

Agreed. At least there is a better option for release day. Hopefully a later update will bring the new style. And LG are pretty good at letting you change the icons anyway so you could probably get it looking somewhat similar

Exactly what I thought.
