LG F3...good cheap upgrade from OptiS?

What are your opinions/insights on the new LG F3 offered by sprint. There is no sub forum on AC for it yet. Anyone know if it's been rooted? Since I can't afford an optiG, this seems like best alternative. Am I wrong?

No way the GS4 will be free in 4 months. GSIII is still 99.00 bucks with upgrade discount. Free for new custys. If I were a new customer, Sprint would love me more and I'd have a free Optimus G. And even tho I'm out of contract and sprints service isn't the greatest, it's still the most cost effective option for me.

I was under the impression you only got the 100$ discount was if you transfered your own number from another carrier, otherwise it was still the 200$. We ardently checked this before my mom upgraded her phone. Sprint was pretty stout on having to bring your own number from another carrier.

True but porting it to virgin or T-Mobile or boost for a month of cheap crappy service and back is not very hard...definitely worth the 100 dollar discount.

Back to the F3 tho...anyone hear anything about it, or is it too new to the market?
